Come experience Kits Culture & Coastline in Vancouver, BC
Come explore Kitsilano with me, just minutes from Downtown Vancouver. We'll walk the coastline and tree-lined garden corridors, take in views of English Bay and the North Shore mountains, stop for coffee at one of my favourite local spots, and embrace Kitsilano's distinct, free-spirited west coast culture.
Experience Kitsilano's beachside energy, west coast vibes, scenic coastline, and lush tree-lined garden corridors, just minutes away from Downtown Vancouver.
Kitsilano, affectionately known as "Kits" by locals, is one of Vancouver's most scenic and vibrant neighbourhoods that stretches along the coastline just minutes away from Downtown.
It's full of garden lined streets, tree filled corridors, local lookouts, and beachside access points down to the ocean, where views span directly out into English Bay and across to the North Shore mountains.
As someone who's walked this neighbourhood for years, I'll take you on my favourite routes, winding through quiet, flower-lined streets, past some of Kitsilano's most scenic oceanside parks, and down beachside paths to take in expansive views of Vancouver's coastline.

This tour is scheduled based on Vancouver's estimated unique low tide times and levels data. If you do not see the date or time you are looking for, there may not be tide estimate available for that date yet, or the low tide levels may not be low enough to accommodate a tour that day.
Every Kitsilano guided tour is unique and shaped by the tide, the season, the wildlife we encouter and the evolving neighbourhood.

Gather at the circle of blankets under the canopy of trees at Kitsilano Beach Park (by the Yew Street and Cornwall Avenue entrance) for welcome and introductions.
Set out onto on the sewall beside Kits Beach Pool, North America's longest outdoor saltwater pool, and take in panoramic views of English Bay, Burrard Inlet, the downtown skyline, and the North Shore Mountains.
Walk along a garden-lined path towards a favourite local lookout, full of giant driftwood along the coastline.
Continue along the shoreline, passing a recently restored, daylighted creek, to another beach access point where the rocky coastline shifts with the tide and opens up to sweeping views in every direction.
Walk back towards Kits Beach through garden-lined streets, shaded by a mix of towering trees.
Stop at one of my favourite independent coffee spots, full of Kitsilano's laid-back, free-spirited energy (one drink included).
Walk through Kits Point and back to the coastline, ending the walk with views toward False Creek and English Bay.

Our meeting meeting point provides convenient access to washrooms and water refill stations, transit, bike share stations and parking.

We meet at Kitsilano Beach Park (in Vancouver, BC), gathered under a circle of trees just a short walk down the path from the Yew Street and Cornwall Avenue intersection, and next to the Alberta Street Parking Lot.
We start each walk gathered under the tree canopy, which provides plenty of shade on warm days and creates a refreshing place to gather before heading out to explore Kitsilano.
Look for a circle of blankets laid out on the grass between the trees, that's us.
Kitsilano Beach sits about 3 km west of Downtown Vancouver, just past the bend where False Creek meets English Bay, along the same scenic seawall route that runs past Stanley Park, False Creek, Olympic Village, and Granville Island, before continuing on to Kitsilano.

As an independent, woman-owned small tour provider, I keep my groups small and my approach personal to create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.
I created Darling Walks to share the parts of Vancouver that bring me the most joy with others.
My goal is to help visitors and locals experience Vancouver’s natural beauty and free-spirited energy through an invitation to slow down, tune into your senses, and feel a deeper connection to the nature surrounding us.
As a long time Vancouver local, I've spent over 15 years walking the intertidal beaches and discovering my favourite routes to travel on foot across Kitsilano.
Part forest bather, part birder, I love slowing down to get the full sensory experience of our local low tide beaches, scenic coastal vistas, and tree-lined greenways... usually with a coffee in hand. And it's something I'm passionate about sharing.
I'm committed to hosting eco-friendly and sustainable walking tours that leave the beaches, trails and wildlife undisturbed. I also recognize the invaluable role of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations as thethe original and ongoing stewards of this land.
Small group sizes, respecting wildlife and tidal ecosystems, and easy access from around Vancouver by bike or bus are just some of the ways I keep these walks low impact.

3% of all purchased tours will be contributed to the removal of CO₂ from the atmosphere.
I gratefully acknowledge that these walking tours take place within the unceded, ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
In particular, I owe deep gratitude to these Indigenous nations as the original and ongoing stewards of this land, whose inherent relationship with the territory has been maintained since time immemorial.
