Kitsilano has a vibrant coffee culture, with small cafes tucked beside green corridors, neighbouring parks, and just blocks from the beach.
Walking between the coastline, garden-lined streets, and neighbourhood coffee spots is one of my favourite ways to enjoy Vancouver as a local, and something I love sharing with others.
We'll visit three independent coffee shops throughout the neighbourhood, enjoying one coffee at each spot, and take the local routes I know well that offer shaded greenways and scenic lookouts.
This walk is perfect for both Vancouver locals and visitors.

Every Kitsilano Coast and Coffee Walking Tour is unique and shaped by the season and Vancouver's evolving coffee scene.
Kitsilano, affectionately known as "Kits" by locals, is one of Vancouver's most scenic and vibrant neighbourhoods that stretches along the coastline just minutes away from Downtown.

It's also home to one of Vancouver's best coffee scenes where a proliferation of independent coffee shops move with the neighbourhood's west coast rhythm, shaped by the surrounding coastline, and a blend of beachside energy, 1960s counterculture, environmental roots, and active health-conscious locals.

At the places we visit, you can expect specialty coffee, brewed from beans sourced directly from farmers and roasted locally, or from unique small-batch international roasters.
We'll visit three different coffee shops and sample a range of different coffees and styles, from classic espresso to unique seasonal offerings, while taking in the the relaxed beachside atmosphere, social energy, and west coast community hub each location cultivates.

Making our way to each spot, we'll wind through some of the area's best greenways, hidden paths, and coastline access points and take in sweeping views of English Bay, the North Shore mountains, and the Downtown Vancouver skyline with a coffee in hand.

As an independent, woman-owned small tour provider, I keep my groups small and my approach personal to create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.
I created Darling Walks to share the parts of Vancouver that bring me the most joy with others.
My goal is to help visitors and locals experience Vancouver’s natural beauty and free-spirited energy through an invitation to slow down, tune into your senses, and feel a deeper connection to the nature surrounding us.
As a long time Vancouver local, I've spent over 15 years walking the intertidal beaches and discovering my favourite routes to travel on foot across Kitsilano.
Part forest bather, part birder, I love slowing down to get the full sensory experience of our local low tide beaches, scenic coastal vistas, and tree-lined greenways... usually with a coffee in hand. And it's something I'm passionate about sharing.
I'm committed to hosting eco-friendly and sustainable walking tours that leave the beaches, trails and wildlife undisturbed. I also recognize the invaluable role of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations as thethe original and ongoing stewards of this land.
Small group sizes, respecting wildlife and tidal ecosystems, and easy access from around Vancouver by bike or bus are just some of the ways I keep these walks low impact.

3% of all purchased tours will be contributed to the removal of CO₂ from the atmosphere.
I gratefully acknowledge that these walking tours take place within the unceded, ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
In particular, I owe deep gratitude to these Indigenous nations as the original and ongoing stewards of this land, whose inherent relationship with the territory has been maintained since time immemorial.
